    +Interior Designer

    Position Summary:  We have one position available for an enthusiastic, dependable and service-oriented individual to assist our Clients in bringing their visions to reality as a member of our Interior Design Department.  The successful candidate will have a friendly outgoing personality, great communication skills, attention to detail, professional work ethic, ideally construction-related design experience, and a willingness to learn.  Candidate will become a collaborative member of our design-build construction team and should have strong design skills and the ability to plan and manage multiple projects for a wide variety of markets.   

    Essential Responsibilities: The Interior Designer needs to work closely with all departments within our Company (Sales, Project Managers, Superintendents, Architects and the Field Crew) to provide our Clients with options for maximizing their new space in a design-driven environment.  The Interior Designer will be involved from preconstruction throughout the project to establish expectations and see to it they are met or exceeded.

    While the items listed below are intended to define the major aspects of the position, they are not intended to be a complete list of responsibilities.  An important factor in the success of the Interior Designer is the understanding that flexibility in helping others is essential for the overall benefit of the company.  The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys trying new ideas and is continually working to improve themselves, their skills, and those around them.

    Primary Functions:

    • Use interior design experience and skills to maximize the potential for spaces in our commercial construction projects.  
    • Listen and understand the needs of our Clients and their businesses and provide options for how to best utilize their space that are within budget.
    • Collaborate within our entire organization to ensure the design is carried out flawlessly throughout the project and aligns with the Client’s vision and expectations.
    • Meet with Client to present options and make selections for flooring, wallcovering, furniture, fabrics, equipment, color palettes, lighting, paint and more.
    • Create and distribute:
        • Floor, Wall & Base Legends
        • Notes & Schedules in the Architectural plan set
        • Any detailed install elevations or renderings
        • Design Boards for the Client and the jobsite   
    • Create and maintain Finish Schedules for each project.
    • Coordinate and contribute to pre-install meetings with Superintendents and subcontractors.
    • Organize and track all aspects of interior furnishings on multiple projects throughout construction, and be able and available to answer any questions the Client or construction team may have.
    • Approve shop drawings/submittals as needed for interior design-related items.  
    • Create and support relevant vendor relationships and maintain an up-to-date sample library with necessary material stock.

    Position Qualifications:  Below is a list of the minimum knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to execute the key responsibilities of the Interior Designer:

    • 3+ years of experience in an Interior Design role; design-build commercial construction experience preferred but not a requirement
    • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
    • Must have the understanding and capability of reading existing construction documents and ability to review and complete submittals and RFI’s in a timely manner
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel) in order to track projects accordingly
    • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with the ability to meet deadlines both collaboratively and independently  
    • Someone who is constantly looking to better themselves and takes the initiative to learn, is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and enthusiastic
    • An individual who contributes beyond themselves and is motivated by their team’s success
    • Ability to meet with Clients on nights and weekends if they are unable to meet during business hours
    • Interior Design related degree and/or professional portfolio a plus
    • Leadership skills which will motivate the team and impact the future success of the Interior Design Department

    +Finish Carpenter with Commercial Construction Experience

    Position Summary:  We have an immediate need for an experienced finish carpenter to work independently under the direction of a supervisor.  Candidate will become a collaborative member of our design-build construction team and should have strong finish carpentry skills and the ability to execute multiple tasks for a wide variety of markets.   

    Essential Responsibilities: While the items listed below are intended to define the major aspects of the position, they are not intended to be a complete list of responsibilities.  An important factor in the success of the Finish Carpenter is the understanding that flexibility in helping others is essential for the overall benefit of the company:

    • Finish Carpentry
      • Installing cabinets, trim, doors, countertops, sills, etc. on commercial construction projects
    • Occasionally light framing and drywall work as needed
    • Small demolition work on occasion
    • Transportation of materials using company vehicles
    • General cleanup of jobsites

    Primary Functions:

    *Ability to read and follow architectural drawings. 

    *Candidate must be able to drive company vehicles. 

    *Finish Carpentry Experience Required. 

    *Candidate should be available to work approximately 40 hours per week.  Overtime available as project schedules require.

    Position Summary:  We are always looking for the perfect candidate to teach the ropes of construction.  That often starts out as a position as one of our general laborers to learn all aspects of construction.  This position is your way to get a foot in the door, and the path you take next is up to you!  We will train the right candidate in carpentry, landscaping, property management, and more!  Qualified candidate will have the drive to succeed as a member of a team, as well as the internal motivation to push their own limits.  Working under the direction of a supervisor, this position would have guidelines on work to complete each day, but be required to manage time as efficiently as possible.

    +Project Architect with 3+ years of Design-Build Commercial Construction Experience

    Position Summary:  The ideal candidate will be a qualified architect who is able to construct clear diagrams using AutoCAD. This candidate should have an in-depth knowledge of all steps related to project completion and diligently communicate with necessary people to ensure timely execution. This candidate should also be able to conduct quality assurance checks on a frequent basis in order to ensure regulations are being followed. 

     

    This person will need to effectively organize, communicate, delegate, and follow through on all tasks involved in completing a comprehensive set of building design documents. The Project Architect needs to work hand in hand with Project Managers, field Superintendents, Subcontractors and Clients to facilitate a complete turnkey building project on time and on budget.

    Primary Functions:

    • Complete the initial zoning/code check
    • Attend meetings with Owners/Clients as necessary
    • Complete the preliminary sketches for budget numbers
    • Document modifications from the preliminary sketches for comparison against estimate
    • Complete the construction document set
    • Set the schedule of drawings and associated hours for preliminary sketches
    • Set up and initiate the internal drawing review check with architectural department
    • Secure consultant quotes (civil, soil borings, landscape, structural and interiors)
    • Review the municipal requirement for plan commission submittal
    • Attend all municipal meetings
    • Review project with Project Manager for turn over to field Superintendent
    • Review project with field Superintendent
    • Submit for and secure the building permit
    • Review and approve all shop drawings
    • Set up and initiate site visits with Superintendent and Owner
    • Maintain field report documents
    • Answer all questions that relate to drawing or design issues
    • Communicate with Superintendents, Project Managers and Owners to resolve issues as they occur
    • Maintain change of scope documents
    • Set up punch list and complete with Owner and Superintendent
    • Review punch list with Project Manager

    Position Qualifications:  Below is a list of the minimum knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to execute the key responsibilities of the Project Architect:

    • Bachelor’s degree in architecture
    • 3+ years of experience in design-build construction and architecture
    • Strong organizational, creative and presentation skills
    • Proficient in AutoCAD
    • Revit and LEEP AP – preferred but not required
    • Must be well versed in International series codes, Planning and Zoning Ordinances, and the submittal process for construction documents for approval
    • Knowledgeable of construction documentation and their needs and assembly
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel) in order to track projects accordingly
    • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with the ability to meet deadlines both collaboratively and independently

    Seeking a snow removal professional to work as part of a team during the winter months to remove snow at local commercial businesses. 

    Ideal candidate will learn tasks quickly and be able to work independently at the direction of a supervisor. 

    This position would be responsible for completing a variety of tasks which may include:

    • Shoveling snow from sidewalks
    • Salt application (often by hand)
    • Plowing commercial parking lots
    • Ideal candidate will have ability/license to use heavy equipment (bobcat, loader, etc).

    Pay based on experience.   

    Requirements:

    *Candidate must have clean driving record and valid driver’s license in order to drive company vehicles. 

    *Experience preferred, but willing to train the right person. 

     

    *This is intended to be a seasonal job, but the right candidate could be trained as permanent, full-time laborer.
